The new iPhone 16 have been available for a few days now and we are currently testing the iPhone 16 Pro intensively. Apple’s new benchmark is distinguished by substantial new features in photography! both in terms of software! with iOS 18 ! and hardware. Start of the test.
As always! the transition from one iPhone to another goes (almost) smoothly. This time! I had to restart the iPhone 15 Pro Max for it to be detected by the iPhone 16 Pro. I then chose to repatriate all its data from iCloud to the new standard! which took a good ten minutes. Technical sheet on the Apple website.
All for the photo
With everything in place! we started by exploring the line database first major hardware novelty! that is! a tactile metal area on the side of this new titanium opus. You almost have to look for this area! even with a silicone protection! it is so well integrated.
With the device locked! simply press this surface vigorously to launch the camera. By reproducing the same movement! the photo is taken. By pressing less hard! a small menu is launched which appears under this surface. By “clicking” lightly twice! you can change functions.
Very fine adjustments
By sliding your finger here! you can adjust the exposure! depth of field! style or tone of a shot. You can even manually change lenses. All these options therefore allow very fine adjustments of all these parameters! even if you have to get used to navigating between the touch screen and this button.
As I started testing this beautiful product
I was impressed by Apple’s efforts to further optimize the photographic capabilities of its latest opus. In some ways! these efforts are similar to some of Sony’s or rival manufacturers’ solutions on Android.

4K at 120 frames per second
As for video! Apple cleverly offers to shoot videos in 4K at 120 frames per second! which jiangsu mobile phone number list makes it easy to produce beautiful slow motion. Interesting at a time when other competitors are launching into 8K which requires compatible monitors. The first results are rather remarkable!
As I write these lines! I must Discovering the new admit that Apple’s choices are smart and going in the right direction. While the iPhone 15 Pro already produced some of the most beautiful shots on the market in all conditions! this iPhone 16 Pro promises to make sparks.
