Blog and post, what’s the difference?

The address structure of the posts is an important part of the functionality of the blog. Each word in the address must be separated by a hyphen. If the words are written together, it is difficult for search engines to understand what the post is about.

The length of the posts varies a lot. In the old days, it was said that posts should be short texts containing no more than 300 words. However, studies show that longer blog texts (1200+ words) get more reads and shares on social media than short ones. Long blog posts also have the opportunity to convince people more and lower the purchase decision.

My longest blog post is over 5000 words long and is read regularly.

3. What is the difference between a page and a blog post?

It is possible to make separate pages and blog posts for blogs. These are not the same thing. Individual pages such as About, Contact or Start here are a bit heavier than a single blog post. A separate page will be created for the blog, where all blog texts will be collected. However, the post is a lighter version of the page.

Each post has its own unique permanent link (url). For example, this post

At the beginning of the link is my China Phone Number List domain followed by the url of the blog post. There is no need for the word blog in between. Permalinks are mainly for Google, not so much readers.

But in order for the blog posts to actually appear, the blog needs its own page. It is simply just a Blog page. The page can also be named Blog if it is an English-language blog or Articles.

After this, the blog posts and the Blog page are connected to each other in the settings . After that, all published blog posts will appear on the Blog page in publication order from newest to oldest. Like here .

4. What exactly is a blog post or blog article?

A blog post is a single “page” with its own unique URL and where you focus on one precisely defined topic. Let’s say you write a blog about dogs and even more Phone Number List  specifically about raising a puppy. One post can be titled “How to prepare for a puppy’s homecoming”, in which case the topic deals with puppies in general , but also how to prepare for a puppy’s coming home, which is a more narrowly defined topic.
