You could imagine that getting readers to the blog depends only on how you market the post. However, the fact is that many things have to go right before marketing in order to reach readers. That’s why in this post we’ll take a couple of steps before the actual marketing.

1 | Check out the statistics

As boring as it sounds, statistics help you see which posts are currently being read the most. You will need this information later when we start marketing Phone Number List  your blog. Evergreen favorites attract readers like flies to honey, but if a blog only has a couple of favorites, it is not enough to increase the number of readers to 10,000 people.

Mission

So visit Google Analytics and do the following:

  • Find the 10 most read posts in the last 6 months.
  • Make sure the post spends more than a minute.
  • Please note that if the most read posts take less than a minute and the post is long, then I do not recommend repeating the instructions in this post.

It is disastrous for SEO if you direct a lot of people to a blog post that is not really interesting. Google interprets this to mean that you are using some “black hat” technique to get readers to your blog. Then Google starts dropping your blog posts lower in the search results. And neither of us want that.
