For an inexperienced writer, using AIDA can be challenging. Instead of AIDA, I recommend using the list posting structure.

In the Blogger to Professional™ and Content Hacker™ writing process online trainings, I teach more advanced post structures, but in the beginning you will do well with list posting.

A list post is typically a list of things on a certain topic. For example, I have a post on my blog called ” 123 Ways to Get More Readers to Your Blog “. As the name suggests, the post describes 123 different methods. I wrote the post almost in one sitting, because I had been discussing and thinking about these methods and tips for a long time.

However, a long list post is also tedious. Although I wrote it in one sitting, it took just under 10 hours.

In the beginning, the list can of course be short, a list of less than 10 items. But if you want to get the readers interested, increase the number of paragraphs briskly. If a reader sees two posts on Google

  • 123 ways to get readers

which one is the reader more likely to read?

A list post should not be just a numbered list. In my example post, there is little information between the numbers and things are explained very superficially. I recommend that you write a mini-post’s worth of content under each point. So 150–300 words.

Depending on the topic of the post, you can also add 1-3 steps that the reader can take at the end of each item in the list. In the same style as I have in this post that you are reading now.

Why does an extended list post like this get people to read?

List posts usually provide very general information, but not enough concrete information. When you invest in the length of the list and the content of each item, readers don’t have to go looking for more information anywhere else. They get the information they need from your post.

This engages readers to read your post but also to come back.

It is also shared like crazy on social media.

How long should a post be?

An eternal question that will surely never Poland Phone Number List be answered definitively. But I will say that the longer the better.

I know that many people think that no one can read long posts.

Wrong.

People can’t bear to read posts that don’t add any value, but have the same thing as 50 other blogs, just written differently.

That’s why, for example, this post was written. There are close to 5000 words here, it is comprehensive, helpful and will certainly bring added value to many readers. If I had tried to condense this to 300 words, would it have had the same effect?

According to a study by Wix, the ideal length of a post is 1500-2500 words .

According to Hubspot, in 2021 the ideal post length was 2100–2400 words.

In 2014, Google introduced its EAT concept for the first time . EAT comes from words

Google prefers if you write 300 word blog posts. That’s why I encourage you to produce longer posts but less often. For years I have been training entrepreneurs and bloggers to produce one new post a week.

But the longer the post, the more time you spend on it and the more in-depth it is, so it’s okay to publish one new post every two or even every three weeks.

So don’t let others fool you. Long content is read and shared on social media as long as it is of added value, useful and usable.

Does the post have to be in story format?

Another eternal question is the stories. Does the post have to be in story format or factual format? Both are good. If you can add a short story to the point post, you are Phone Number List  stronger than someone who just writes the point.

Writing stories is difficult for me, that’s why I don’t write them and I don’t teach them. I still definitely encourage their use.
